    Step 1

    To a pot add ½ stick butter and melt. Pour in sugar and corn starch and stir. Whisk together two eggs and add to milk. At time of adding milk sugar mixture should be warm but not hot. Stir using whisk until mixture thickens (should take about 12 minutes). Also, pudding is ready when it clings to and coats the back of a spoon. Set aside. Layer a cooking dish with vanilla wafers, and fruit and pour on pudding after every 3 or 4 layers. Bake @ 325 degrees for 12 minutes, let cool and top with whipped cream. Garnish if desired and serve.
